Both the Lakers and the Celtics are down 0-2, and while 247 sports fans know that they weren’t the leaders in the league this, they are the most experienced with arguably some of the best players in the league.  The odds are against either team winning, but stranger things have happened.  It has been 34 years since the Lakers were beat on their home court in the first two playoff series games- it happened in 1977 against Portland, and now in 2011 against the Mavericks.

Rashard Mendenhall of the Steelers hasn’t had the best week since he tweeted personal opinions about the death of Osama bin Laden.  The Steelers have covered with a statement of their own and Champion has dropped Mendenhall, but what next?  Some pundits are bandying about the idea that social media should be banned, or at least screened, for players.  Given the amount of drama that has been caused by athletes using social media tools so far, it’s an interesting and highly debatable idea.
